Anlat Aşko v.02

Anlat Aşko v.02 focuses on oral and visual queer storytelling, aiming to create a safe, inclusive, and pluralistic space where personal stories can be shared.
Over the course of two months, Turkish-speaking LGBTQ+ people living in Turkey and Germany came together in a series of online gatherings to explore different ways of telling their own stories.
Led by Karin Karakaşlı and PLATFORM by GAPO, the workshops brought together guest facilitators from a range of disciplines. Through the writing workshops, participants explored the possibilities of queer narrative, while the visual program investigated ways of making personal experiences visible.
Chapter I: Anlat Aşko Workshops
From December 2025 to February 2026, participants from Turkey and Germany took part in a learning program led by Karin Karakaşlı and PLATFORM by GAPO.
The writing workshop, facilitated by Karin Karakaşlı, explored the possibilities of queer narrative through short stories, letters, and essays. Across six sessions, participants examined how writing can function as both a personal and collective space for expression, opening up possibilities for resistance, transformation, and freedom.
The visual storytelling workshop, led by PLATFORM by GAPO, focused on photography as a medium for making personal experiences visible, transforming them, and sharing them with others. The sessions explored the plurality of queer stories, the nuances of everyday life, and the political power of the personal.
Chapter II: Anlat Aşko Berlin
The final event in Berlin presents the outcomes of this process, featuring some life performances by the participants in Berlin, translating lived experiences into various artistic forms. Through staged readings, spoken word, and visual media, the evening offers a space to engage with diverse queer perspectives and to reflect on how storytelling can challenge dominant narratives and make marginalized experiences visible.

Chapter III: Kendiliğinden Öyküler
How do we imagine, build, lose, and reconstruct our togetherness? In this writing workshop led by Sevcan Tiftik, we will write stories that emerge from within ourselves. Through moments, objects, bodies, and encounters drawn from everyday life, we will rethink together queerness, womanhood, feminism, migration experiences, belonging, chosen families, the bridges we have burned, and relationships of care. We will write, and also share and talk things through. All who are available are welcome.
