Dialogues symbolizes Orta Okul’s commitment to learning through solidarity and exchange with other organizations. It draws inspiration from Paulo Freire's educational strategies.
We aim to collaborate with a rooted, long-standing institutions to co-develop programs that allows us to engage with and critically observe diverse political methodologies in practice. These collaborations become spaces for mutual transformation, where we reflect on power, pedagogy, and positionality.
This is not only what we learn, but how we learn to learn.
50 Years of the Türkischer Frauenverein Berlin: Women’s Power, Building Bridges, and Inspiring Change

This collaboration celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Türkischer Frauenverein Berlin, the city's first migrant women's association. Founded on March 8, 1975, the association has been a powerful advocate for self-empowerment, social justice, and solidarity, championing the rights of women from Turkey and transnational communities.Drawing from the archive of unpublished documents, participatory workshops, and informal interviews, we aim to celebrate the resilience and activism of migrant women, many of whom are from the working class.
Anlat Aşko v.02
A project in collaboration with Özgür Renkler, Platform by GAPO, nanay, and Kaos GL
Anlat Aşko v.02 focuses on oral and visual queer storytelling, aiming to create a safe, inclusive, and pluralistic space where personal stories can be shared.
Over the course of two months, Turkish-speaking LGBTQ+ people living in Turkey and Germany came together in a series of online gatherings to explore different ways of telling their own stories.
Led by Karin Karakaşlı and PLATFORM by GAPO, the workshops brought together guest facilitators from a range of disciplines. Through the writing workshops, participants explored the possibilities of queer narrative, while the visual program investigated ways of making personal experiences visible.
